Winnemac Park, July 4 2024
Thanks to generous donations from local businesses, elected officials, and neighbors, we will celebrate the birth of our country in Winnemac Park with games, kids’ activities, and live post-sunset entertainment this July 4th.
We are currently raising funds for activities that begin in the late afternoon, including an instructor-led family yoga session from Bloom Yoga and all day community -sponsored sports events. Later in the evening, we'll gather to experience a dazzling performance of Full Moon Jam in our great park.
Winnemac Fourth for All is free to the public;
cash-sales food trucks will be on-site, as will restrooms.
Support from businesses, community
organizations, and individuals is welcome.
The Winnemac Park Advisory Council operates as a 501c3 through the partnership
with the Chicago Parks Foundation. Contributions are tax deductible.
Neighbors can pitch in and learn about the conservation of the North Side park’s 3-acre natural area at three events this spring and summer.
During late Q2 of 2024 the tennis courts will be renovated with a tennis court planned for the west court and a multi-use tennis & pickleball court planned for the east court.
An ADA pathway will also be paved and fencing will be repaired.
Shared during the 10/11/2023 WPAC meeting to an audience of over 50 community members; this fully funded concept plan for the Winnemac Park / High School baseball field is scheduled to begin construction summer of 2024.
