Join us on Sunday, September 13th at 10am in Winnemac Park's Children's Garden for a story and art activity to celebrate the changing seasons. After reading the beautifully written and illustrated book "Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn" by Kenard Pak, there will be a scavenger hunt around the garden and kids will use nature-inspired materials to create their own artwork.

Glinda and Elphaba are coming to Lincoln Square! Grab a blanket, pack a picnic, and join us under the stars for a magical trip back to Oz. We’ll be holding space for two of our favorite witches…and a perfect summer evening. Start time is approximate as the movie will begin at dusk.

Miss Ruby makes an appearance in the park for a 30-minute story time full of books, songs, and fingerplays inspired by nature!

You can expect to hear stories about plants and animals alongside learning how we can take care of our planet together. Miss Ruby is a teaching artist and children's musician who has taught young artists at Chicago Children's Theatre, Edgewater Public Library, Women & Children First, and more.

 🧘🏽‍♀️ Looking for a new way to enjoy the sights and sounds of Winnemac? Join us in the upcoming months for free adult yoga classes in the park, courtesy of Bloom Yoga Studio!

Samantha returns with a delightful Saturday morning series that runs from April through November. Please note these classes will be for individuals 18 and over.

Get moving on the Lakefront Trail and join us for a community celebration of our parks! In partnership with Banner Wholesale Grocers, the Chicago Parks Foundation is thrilled to bring our 5K event back for our fourth year at beautiful Burnham Park.

Start the morning with either the timed out-and-back 5K course on the path or a guided 1-Mile Burnham Wildlife Corridor Nature Walk. Children 10 and under can be part of the Kids Dash. Then enjoy our post-race pancake party with food, drinks, and community fun - all right in the park!
