Two of our nine prairies received a burn on March 2, 2026. We anticipate additional prairies to receive a prescribed burn anytime before April 30th. This method is dependent upon the weather and will be determined on a day-by-day basis. This page includes a document that highlights the recent activity and covers a few curiosities.

Established as a 501(c)(3) and operating for public benefit, improved conditions, and promotion of nature spaces and recreational activities, the Winnemac Park Advisory Council was reactivated in the spring of 2023. A new board has been elected, and by-laws have been established.
During Q1 of 2025 board elections have occurred and a new leadership team has formed.
